I recently had surgery, so I have been meditating with this CD. Wonderful! I can feel the healing energy go thru my body. I love it!

My third of four Crystal healing bowl disks, Crystal Bowls Chakra Chants is healing and revitalizing. another disk I recommend is Mary Kennedy's Gateway of the Heart.

A 2009 single CD release from Jonathan Goldman and Crystal Tones, this is what I refer to as vibrational music. If you are already familiar with Goldman, this is the same type of music. In this case, crystal bowl sounds are interwoven with the other long, sustained notes. Very beautiful, very peaceful, and very meditative, this CD would likely enhance any alternate healing therapy (reiki, acupuncture, meditation, etc.) or could be used merely to induce a better night's sleep or even just to listen to. The 7 tracks are each over 10 minutes and there is one for each of the 7 commonly expressed chakras. Total album time is 73:53, or almost 1 ¼ hours, which is certainly conductive to an alternative therapy healing session. If you don't know what I am talking about, chakra is a Sanskrit, or ancient, term meaning wheel. It refers to the main energy centers of the body (root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, 3rd eye, crown). Many believe that by playing specific musical tones, you can cause each chakra to vibrate to the proper tones and re-balance the energy, thereby aligning the energy within and possibly preventing or repairing disease. If you don't believe in this possibility, I can understand your reluctance to accept the simplicity of it. Of course, this is only a part of it all, but combining music therapy in addition to a healthy diet, exercise, and working with yourself spiritually can make a huge difference in your life (in my humble opinion). By the way, there are all kinds of scientific studies on the relationship between sounds and healing, so if you are interested, please read on. A 24 page booklet is included, which explains how to use the CD, details about the chakras, the chakra sounds, the system that was used in this CD, the intention placed into the CD, the use of Ting-Shas/Tibetan Bells, the resonance of the crystal bowls, and additional explanatory notes on the recording. As explained in the booklet, this CD can be quite trance-inducing. So if you are trying to follow the music chakra 1, chakra 2, etc.--FORGET IT! Besides, that would likely ruin your experience of "going into" the music. The Bells ding peacefully at the beginning of each chakra track and match the chakra number. So 7 dings mean you are at the 7th (crown) chakra. Knowing which chakra you are at can help you to place your attention and intention on the right chakra at the right time and the vibration of the bells is such that it will likely NOT disturb your meditative state. If you are not consciously following the chakras, your subconscious will likely take care of it while you are zonked out. About a week ago, I attended a sound-healing conference at the Edgar Cayce Center in Virginia, where I met Jonathan and his wife Andi. This was one of the CDs we discussed at the conference. I have a pretty complete collection of Jonathan's CDs and I really enjoy them. Many times, I will plug one in and meditate out, no matter where I am, especially when I am trying to sleep in a strange hotel. If you are someone who "feels" the energy, you will enjoy this cd even more because you are already aware of how chanting or playing certain music changes the energy in a room. If you play the CD in a room aloud, be sure to just sit in the silence with the energy after it has finished playing. I think many people miss that aspect of the musical experience. Namaste'

If I could rate this CD more I would. I can't tell you how long I had looked for the sounds of Crystal Bowls on a CD I could play anytime I wanted. Then I went to one of Elivias concerts and had to have a CD. My first was this one and still is my favorite. When I want to leave my hectic day and travel to worlds beyond this realm I listen to Journey to Wholeness. The gentle vibrations of the bowls take me away almost instantly. If I put it on before I go to bed I never hear the end of it, I just love it. By the way I have all her CD's now and I love them all.

Namaste! When my mother-in-law fell ill with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, I bought this CD with the hopes it would aid her in some way. I listened to it (and do almost every day), and find it very relaxing, grounding, and uplifting - I feel "better" after hearing it! I have several bowl recordings and, so far, this is the one I prefer to listen to. And though my mother-in-law crossed over, I'd like to think the CD was helpful in any case.

Beautiful sounds/vibrations....but to many sounds..Bowls, chimes, and I Dont know what other instruments..to me they seem to interfere with each other instead of creating a pleasant meditative presence. I found myelf being tuned out of a meditative state,...then briefly at peace, then more unsincronized instruments...bringing me back to my precent state...just didnt work well for me.

This CD is so relaxing, ambient, warm and inviting. The music draws you in like a magnet, and keeps you captivated. This is a great CD to listen to with headphones while meditating or sleeping. This has created wonderful dreams, inner peace and great relaxation for me.

The music flows, I am surrounded by beauty as I meditate on the purity and Love Of GOD. Healing and strengthening to my chakras. Ashana allows the love within her to become the song dancing out from her innermost depths of the soul.

Many musicians claim their music as "healing music" but I have never felt this more true as with the case of Jewels of Silence. The way Ashana's voice weaves in and out of the bowl harmonies can only be described as magical. You can literally feel the vibrations running through your body as you listen. Masterfully played and sung!

Fabulous yoga video. It is yoga as I always imagined it to be. Wonderful, wonderful video.

Finally, I've found a video that is truly "yoga" and not just an "exercise" video. This video was very helpful for me to discovering what the true purpose of the yoga poses are. I liked the affirmations the Ananda Yoga presents along with the poses, I found they strengthened me on an inner level. The explanations of the chakras and their purpose is fascinating, allowing each one of us to explore deeper aspects of ourselves that we ordinarily would miss in most of the yoga poses you see on videos that exist today.

For those who want a workout video,or want to learn to become contortionists, this is not it. For those who want to use their bodies as a vehicle to higher awareness, this is a good way to begin. Yoga is the connecting of body, mind and spirit. To do that we must be able to listen with our bodies as well as with our ears. This video offers an excellant vehicle to do that as well as a good beginning approach to yoga. For those who want a bridge between Hatha Yoga and meditation, this video provides that.I find that the vast majority of yoga videos have very long leaders into the body of the work. It is interesting the first time, but after that one has to fast forward through it all. This is no exception.

I found this book to be very user-friendly as well as thought provoking. Each page is inviting and motivates you to delve deeper within yourself. My favourites are the positive affirmations and the stunning visuals of relevant gemstones. I don't see myself becoming bored with this book any time soon!

This is a very informative work. I found it extremely useful in my practice, and I can easily recommend it even to others who may not be qualified massage therapists.
